Ideas from Milton

Farmer’s Market Stand
The program at Milton MASK shared a wonderful activity idea to set up a children’s “Farmer’s Market” stand at their center. The children harvest the produce from their GFL garden and set up a table once a week for their parents to shop at. The children decided that they would put a “TIP” Jar out and parents could give whatever they wanted. The parents have been most generous filling the Tip Jar with very large bills. The kids love selling their produce, get to feel proud of their accomplishments and share the delicious and healthy food with their families. The money collected will go back into the garden for next year.
